I asked the “supervisor “ who just shrugged her shoulders and said “the machine didn’t read the card, those are the rules”. Now to the tables I was playing a hand inside the room called “Dynasty Games” and was sitting (along with other players) on a hand of blackjack with a count of 20 and the dealer had a 4 showing and a message came across the screen that stated “malfunction” and refunded my play. Encore offered me an upgrade on our next visit as stated “in the interest of regaining your confidence in the level of service normally provided at Encore”, what a joke.
After not hearing back after a week I wrote back and received an email from guest relations, specifically Kirsten Blycher. After our stay I wrote guest relations about several issues that we had with our room, that include the drain being broken in the tub, circuit breaker continuously tripped in the bathroom, one of our card keys did not work, and a pile of trash that we noticed outside of the elevator that remained on top of a barrel for approximately 10 hours. After receiving an offer for a discounted room I decided to stay for a night along with my wife. I live locally so I often stop to meet a friend and play a little bit, I am not a big gambler but have always enjoyed the action and atmosphere. I have been to this casino about a dozen times since it opened.
